Christmas bells on Broad Street
Step back in time and into a magic wonderland at the Victorian Christmas Markets in Oxford.
On the 14th-17th November, Broad Street, Oxford turned on its Christmas lights once again for the Victorian Christmas market.
Independent markets filled Broad Street with sweet cinnamon and chocolaty drinks with the best outcome the market has ever received.
Gary Davis from ‘The Taste of Heaven’, a fudge stand stated,
“I’ve been coming here for 3 years, and this year has definitely been the most successful and I will most definitely be coming next year.”
The Victorian Market gives traditional companies the chance to go back in time and display their treats for all to enjoy.
John Wallbank from ‘Christmas in a Bottle’ was selling dried oranges to bring the Christmas smells into your homes. He stated,
“The market was wonderful; Saturday was my best day. I’ve come for the past 2 years and 2024 must be the best by miles.”
The Victorian Christmas market brings the history back to Oxford and is very successful and should only continue to grow.
