Dogs Trust Lewknor have opened a temporary dog food bank, to aid local families struggling to feed their pets.
Dogs Trust Lewknor, formally Blue Cross Lewknor, have opened their Dog Food Bank, to aid local families struggling to feed their pets. A statement from Dogs Trust says:
"As we face the worst financial crisis in decades, we’re urgently seeking to help the dogs who will feel the impact. We have opened some temporary dog food banks for anyone struggling to feed their dog(s) in these difficult times.
We hope to open up more food banks in our other rehoming centres to expand our reach to help as many dogs as possible. By working together, we can weather this storm and be there for the nation’s dogs when they need us most."
The temporary food bank can be accessed by appointment only and donations are needed. The charity will accept donations of puppy, junior and senior dog food.
