Gold Accents Take Centre Stage for Schiaparelli’s ‘Ready To Wear’ Collection
Schiaparelli take the stage with their Spring-Summer 2025 ‘ready-to-wear’ collection with a Future Vintage theme.
From the moment that the first model hit the runway until the last had left the stage, it was evident that designer, Daniel Roseberry, was going for a timeless feel to his pieces. While he has toned down some of the extravagant looks that Schiaparelli founder, Elsa Schiaparelli, was known for, he has still managed to create a collection that dances on the edge of standing out.
Every model matched with a natural face; with minimal makeup and a dewy finish, with natural or slicked back hair to highlight the timeless essence that Roseberry was searching for while creating the collection. While introducing these looks, he said that they were not created ‘just for our clients, but for their daughters and granddaughters. Future Vintage, I’m calling it.’
Roseberry incorporated repeated aspects throughout his lookbook, some bolder than others.
Gold Accents
Gold accents were a key part of Roseberry’s designs this season, as seen in the look above modelled by Stella Hanan. Hanan opened the show in a white button-down shirt dress with a twisted skirt overlay complimented by gold button accents. These buttons were tied in by the gold decoration on the handle of her bag, along with the chunky gold bracelet on her wrist shown off by asymmetric sleeves. To finish this look, Hanan donned one large rhinestone stud in one ear and Schiaparelli’s signature Nipple in the other.
These accents were spotted throughout the show from jewellery, to buttons, to shoes, to zips. These managed to tie each look together, and to the theme, giving them the vintage feel that Roseberry was searching for, in future vintage.
Accentuated Waists
Kendall Jenner’s look is just one of the many that featured accentuated waists in this season’s gallery. Jenner dons a low-cut beige corset with exaggerated boning paired with dark low-waist jeans with a swooping U-shaped waistline. These jeans help highlight the slim lines of Jenner’s waist further. The look was finished with a pair of black sandal heels, asymmetric earrings, and a gold bag.
Despite the theme aiming to be timeless and relevant with future generations, this specific aspect of the collection could be brought back to the Victorian era when accentuating waists was a common practice.
Asymmetric Designs
Roseberry showed appreciation for asymmetric designs in the ensemble Agel Akol wore as she graced the runway. The blue garment flaunts a dramatic asymmetric hem, with one side resting against her hip and the other brushing the floor. The A-line dress then boasts an asymmetric one shoulder neckline, making room for a brown bralette underneath. This was paired with gold sandal heels, a statement necklace with black stones surrounding her neck and asymmetric earrings.
Other asymmetric designs were completed with an oversized jacket like Felice Noordhoff’s attire. Or a tassel that hung from the higher side of the hem, draping in front the legs and held in the opposite hand, like the one that Mona Tougaard wore.
Zebra Prints
As one of the boldest patterns in the spring summer ‘ready to wear’ collection, Roseberry didn’t pass up on the opportunity of creating a near complete monochrome look down to the earrings. A full zebra patterned suit with a dropped shoulder silhouette was paired with a white shirt with an exaggerated collar. This was finished with silver moulded shoes. Gold accents were still incorporated into this look with the buttons on the suit.
Ella Mccutcheon continued the zebra theme with a patterned coat with a black edging and matching mini skirt. With similar shoes to Rohner’s look, Mccutcheon was given a black version, partnered with brown and white hoop earrings, and a gold statement necklace.
To close a show heavy with neutral tones, Daniel Roseberry brought out three natural-coloured looks, supporting a range of gradients of blues, greens, and yellows. The first of the three was a long sleeve, high neck top, housing shades of blue and green with yellow flower motifs modelled by Loli Bahia. This was paired with black satin trousers and a pair of black slingback kitten heels. The following two mini dresses, while sporting similar silhouettes, boasted differing colour palettes, one leaning into darker blues, green and yellow, and the other sticking to lighter shades of blue with yellow accents.
Apolline Rocco Fohrer followed with her darker blue dress, coupled with a pair of brown point toe heels with a V-shaped strap extending up towards her ankle. This look was finished with a thick gold choker as the only jewellery piece, not to take away from the outfit as a whole. While closing the show, Selena Forrests’ dress was paired with gold heels with sparkly straps and the same statement neck piece as Fohrer’s previous look, this brings the gold accents back into the looks and closes the Spring Summer Season with a cohesive link to the beginning.

These intricate pieces were embroidered with hand painted sequins and brought the ‘ready to wear’ 2025 show together with a colourful pop.
