Welcome to Hampstead. A picturesque London suburb nestled next to one of London's biggest natural areas of beauty, Hampstead Heath. Hampstead is joining the likes of Notting Hill and now becoming a hub of tourist activity. Over the past three years residents have seen TikTok bring in a whole new generation of tourists, with global pop stars Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande writing odes to Hampstead in their music, as well as Hollywood films like Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy filmed predominately in Hampstead. By putting Hampstead on the pop culture map with so many significant pubs, shops and houses on tourists visiting lists, is it encouraging residents to speak up against the tourists like those in Notting Hill or is tourism positively changing the area for good?
