Nosakhari x Tega Akinola – London Fashion Week collaboration
Nosakhari unveils Modern Circuit, a limited-edition collaboration with artist-designer Tega Akinola repositioning the leather handbag as both object and artefact.
London Fashion Week has successfully ended with creators from every part of the industry gathering together to showcase their creations. The fashion world has been introduced to the new styles of 2026 in a week full of runways, rushing, and excitement.
Amongst the many events across London, emerging brands Nosakhari and Tega Akinola launched their collaboration Modern Circuit on 19 February 2026 in a privately-held event. The collection centres on the Butler – a signature Nosakhari silhouette conceived in 2022 by Art Director, Tejumola Butler Adenuga. The handbags were reconstructed through Akinola’s sculpted wire language, making construction the defining surface.
“Modern Circuit explores perspective and the layered tensions of contemporary society” – Tega Akinola
Inside the gallery-style studio found on London’s Brick Lane, the harmonious coloured handbags stand out; placed on a levelled platform in the middle of the room, guests naturally gravitate towards them. Each piece has been handcrafted in Nosakhari’s Hackney atelier using repurposed leather offcuts. The handbags are designed with a contemporary element in mind, resonating across gender and style. As the room fills with influencers, photographers or simply fashion enthusiasts, the two designers were swarmed by excitement and praises for the collaboration.
The collection represents both Akinola’s sustainable methods and Nosakhari’s priorities of material integrity and long-term value. Akinola states that the reinterpretation of the Butler has allowed the two designers to ‘merge [their] material sensibilities in a way that feels both raw and refined.’
Tega Akinola is a multidisciplinary artist and designer working primarily with discarded and second-hand materials. Since the establishment of her brand in 2020, the Gen-Z designer has worked alongside various brands, such as Nike and GOAT (as a judge for their annual #GOATDIY campaign) to create sustainable pieces – a very important attribute for younger generations interested in fashion.
“For us, this collaboration signals a new chapter,” – Nosa Osadolor
Nosakhari is a luxury leather goods brand rooted in craft, community, and considered designs. Nosa Osadolor, founder and creative director of the brand, has started incorporating accessories into his outfits from a young age. After seeing his fellow schoolmates create their own unique styles using accessories, Nosa decided to find his own personal style. This quest for originality has led to the development of Nosakhari, becoming the brand’s thematic philosophy. Designing pieces that one could wear as a point of differentiation from the crowd, has always been a driving ambition for the founder.
This partnership has led both designers to unique and thrilling experiences, with London Fashion Week as the main event. It has been a widely successful collaboration, receiving high praises from critiques and attendees alike. The fashion world is excited to see what the two artists have in store next as we’re getting ready to witness more thrilling looks at the Milan Fashion Week from other various designers.
Following its London debut, Modern Circuit will be available to purchase online at Nosakhari from 1 March 2026 for a strictly limited 48-hour window, with an in-store presentation in Paris to follow (details to be announced).
Prices for the collection range from £595–£750.
