Police witness appeal after hit-and-run leaves 17 year old cyclist with life-threatening injuries
The schoolboy was riding his bike on Banbury Road, when there was a collision with a motorcycle.
Thames Valley Police have arrested a 51 year-old man and a 14 year-old boy in connection with the incident, which occurred between Beechcroft and Oakthorpe roads.
Police say that the motorbike rider left the scene following the collision, and are urging witnesses to contact police with any information they may have.
“Sadly, a boy has sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision”, said Detective Sergeant Tony Jenkins. “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed the incident or who may have dash-cam or CCTV footage that has captured the collision … to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police”.
