Schiaparelli Spring/Summer 2025 Ready-to-Wear collection: A look for every generation
Daniel Roseberry has created a collection that he believes is the future of vintage fashion.

A “future vintage” collection for all generations, Schiaparelli’s Spring/Summer 2025 Ready-to-Wear collection is made up of “clothes not just for our clients, but for mothers and granddaughters” says Daniel Roseberry, creative director of the Italian haute couture house Schiaparelli.
This year’s collection has really channelled eccentric fashion, moving away from the old money aesthetic of a bland colour palette to more vibrant, patterned statement pieces. Whilst Roseberry kept to his usual everyday looks, each outfit seemed elevated whether it be by statement jewellery or a fun print.
The first few looks stuck to Schiaparelli’s usual neutral colour scheme, with looks comprising of white and denim. But gradually the patterns and colours became more daring as we were introduced to zebra prints, bright reds and metallic blues.
We seem to be seeing a lot of zebra print in this collection, from blazers to skirts to bags, which foreshadows the new ‘trendy’ print I predict will influence high-street clothing stores. Zebra print is going to be the new leopard print.
The popular fashion show held in Paris, arguably the most fashionable city in the world, had a sea of cobalt blue as its backdrop to the runway, which complemented many of the looks perfectly, as blue was a common colour choice throughout the show.
The takeaway from the show was definitely the vibrant colours and patterns which dominated the runway. Clearly Daniel Roseberry wanted to end the show with what he believed would be his most memorable looks with the final three models covered in bold sequins.
The first of the sequin looks was an embroidered tulle top with hand-painted sequins in floral motifs paired with low-rise dark green viscose and linen sarouel trousers with a gathered waist, finished with kitten-heeled, black slingback mules and gold jewellery.

The next, a short-sleeved, tulle dress entirely decorated with hand-painted sequins in the same floral motifs in an array of green, blue, yellow and black shades. It was paired with a curved-effect silver metal choker and nude suede surreal pumps.

The final look to walk the runway was an almost an identical outfit to the previous with the same style short-sleeved, tulle dress decorated with hand-painted sequins in floral motifs but this time in an array of blue, orange and yellow shades. A matching curved-effect choker was worn but this time in gold. The look was finished with gold leather heeled sandals.

Notable guests at the Schiaparelli Spring/Summer 2025 Ready-to-Wear show were Regina King, Anne Wintour and Léna Mahfouf, but arguably the biggest name amongst the audience was Kylie Jenner. Dressed in a black bodycon dress paired with gold bangles and black kitten heels, Jenner matched Schiaparelli’s enhanced basic looks. Kylie Jenner is a frequent audience member at fashion shows, recently attending Valentino Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2024 show in Paris, but this show was an important event for the Jenners and Kardashians, as Kylie was there supporting her sister Kendall Jenner. Kendall Jenner walked the runway sporting an effortless yet chic look of an off-white wool jersey tank bodysuit with tonal topstitching and raw denim trousers. Jenner’s mismatched hammered gold brass earrings were a common theme amongst the other models’ looks.

Roseberry wanted this collection to be timeless, “future vintage” he called it, which meant the pieces needed to not just be on trend for the coming season but for years to come. Many of Roseberry’s looks had denim incorporated into them, which I believe will always be timeless. Denim first became popular in the 1870s when Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis created, what are considered to be, the first blue jeans. Although styles of denim have evolved over the years, particularly jeans styles coming in and out of fashion, denim has always stuck around with the trends. Celebrities have had a helping hand in keeping denim on trend with Elvis Presley, Madonna and Michael Jackson amidst the many cultural icons who were known for their denim looks. So, there is no surprise that Roseberry featured denim in this collection of looks, as it has been, and I believe will be, a staple in everybody’s day-to-day wardrobe for generations to come.
Roseberry talked about how “the world may feel chaotic, but here, the mood is celebratory” in his show notes, which I think encapsulates the looks he has put together. The foundations of the outfits appearing on the runway were all basics, from the jeans to the mini dresses, but each look was uplifted by colour, pattern and accessories to celebrate the trends that are to come and are here to stay.
