Ross Testa is the Founder of 3 Heads. The name of the business reflects the family and their Italian culture. Their origins are in Italy, and there are three members of the Testa family who are a part of the company - Roy, Jodie, and Ross. Jodie is Ross’s sister, and Roy is their dad. Their surname, when translated into English, means ‘Head’, creating 3 Heads Agency.
Ross says: “there is a lot of respect between my sister and my dad, just like any other business partnership.” Family is an integral part of Italian culture. “You get to answers quicker because families are direct and honest. They will tell you when something could be done better. I feel very lucky to have that, and there is a lot of mutual respect.” When talking about Roy, who is managing director, Ross says “he brings huge value to the team and the dynamic of the business”, and is a “great asset”.
Whilst starting up the business, Ross was balancing with university and a full time job. When reflecting on his journey, he said: “we started at a time when social media was really taking off. Back then it was Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, and Instagram didn’t even have video yet. What we discovered was the huge demand for content, especially video.”
“Companies were struggling to produce high volumes of video for social media and websites, so we positioned ourselves as the partner to do that.” Looking at social media platforms now, there are apps such as TikTok that have taken over, and you can see that 3 Heads have moved with the times.
The business stays in touch with evolving trends and landscapes “through industry events, training, and relationships with the platforms themselves.” Additionally, “spending time with platforms like Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and LinkedIn helps us understand what’s coming.” They stay at the forefront of video production through ongoing industry training.
An example of a case study success story taken from the 3 Heads Agency website, is Bebeto. Bebeto is a popular Turkish sweet brand. Their aim was to grow brand awareness in support of the first UK store launch. In a year, 3 Heads Agency had grown the TikTok from 0 to 43,300 followers and reached over three million people with the content they produced.
